Usually a cru with a bit of a shameless milk-chocolaty personality, this
year “Millandes” knocked us out with both harmony and flesh, a tighter,
more structured middle but still plenty of verve. The nose is all
peppery energy, with hints of baked earth and chocolate nibs. A step up
in seriousness in a very good way; we can’t wait to see this continue
to unveil its treasures after a cellar snooze.
