There is nothing “lower” about this noble yet petite vineyard, as it fits like a wedge between Criots-Batard-Montrachet and the grand dame of white Burgundy, Montrachet. Complex, rich and wonderfully fruit-driven, “Blanchot Dessus” bursts forth from the glass with baking spices, freshly whipped cream and classic Chassagne red fruits. A silky, lush mouth of lemon sorbet and fresh ginger shows wonderfully lacy yet penetratingly deep. Just one single older barrel produced.
