This dry yet delectably ripe and juicy white from the volcanic Aeolian Islands off the northern coast of Sicily is one of our more exciting finds in southern Italy. The aromas of fresh, sweet white and yellow peaches blend with a hint of lemon zest on the nose; generous and juicy, with a touch of sea salt and mineral backbone, that gives just the right amount of lift on the palate. 100% organic (ECOCERT certified).
Winemaker Antonio Caravaglio is the proprietor of a breathtaking 100% organic farm that for us is a little slice of paradise on the island of Salina (population: 4,000). Malvasia is the island’s main grape and as such reflects the sun, the sea and Salina’s rich, volcanic terroir in a white wine that is tailor-made for Mediterranean cuisine and especially fresh coastal seafood.
