Considered “one of the most flavorful rosés of Provence,” by France's top wine critics, Chateau Pibarnon rosé transcends the definition of everyday rosé to something far more lofty, and certainly cellar-worthy. A structured blend of 50% Mourvèdre and 50% Cincault; no malolactic fermentation. Truly a pepper bomb in its perfumes, as white and black pepper blend with raspberry juice and the aromatic cut of lime blossoms. The mouth is generous and chiseled at the same time, with a peach melba-inspired savory middle, surrounded by lots of ripe, red fruit. It’s one of the few fine rosés that could be easily cellared. Always a blockbuster wine, and in 2009 even more so. 50% rosé de saignée; 50% rosé de pressurage.
