From a knockout vintage we were able to secure some top-notch fruit from northern California’s go-to address for cool weather Pinot Noir—the Carneros region. Cool fogs in the morning keep the California sun at bay, allowing Pinot Noir to develop slowly and deliciously, with spice and sweet fruit and plenty of character. There is so much of West Coast Pinot Noir that is both too ripe and certainly too expensive—which is why this find is such a victory for Pinot lovers! Juicy and pure, with red and black cherries and raspberries overflowing on the nose and palate—plenty of silk and spice to go around. Aged in older French barrels; one of the better deals in California Pinot Noir out there.
