"A custom North Berkeley Wine release that's showing good fruit with a firm, edgy profile, the 2008 Clos du Mont-Olivet Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Unique has very traditional aromatics of baking spices, saddle leather, licorice, and garrigue that are paired with ripe, clean Grenache fruit. The wine is medium bodied with a streamlined texture, solid ripeness and an edgy, clean finish where the wine shows its underlying structure. This improved with air and my guess is that it will gain weight with a year or two in the cellar and then drink well over the following 8 to 10."--The Rhone Report
