Delicious from start to finish. Aromas of blackberry jam and incense with a hint of vanilla are ripe and luscious. The mouth couldn’t be more fresh or lively, with rich, palate-staining black fruit and lots of baking spices, not to mention silky-smooth tannins. There’s not a rough edge or a green note, and if anyone tells you that Carmènére is overly “rustic,” hand them a glass of this. Luscious, concentrated and endlessly juicy. Almost too good (and certainly for such an incredible price).
