ORGANIC!  A dusty rose hue in the glass; a bouquet of fresh spring wildflowers and lavender, with hints of fresh strawberry on the nose.  Crisp, dry and very lively; flavors of strawberry, candied orange and pomegranate are juicy and persistent.  The Pouizin family has nurtured vines and lavender on the gentle slopes of Visan since 1922.  A blend of Grenache and Syrah.

"Complex, pungent bouquet of dried cherry, garrigue and white pepper.  Refreshingly bitter and precise, offering nicely concentrated medicinal redcurrant and blood orange flavors.  Finishes smooth and broad, with a touch of warmth and good length."--Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar

Stylistically speaking, you will find this old-vine Grenache has a lot in common with the Caillou wines, especially from the 2007 vintage. Big and brambly, with tons of black fruit and spice, it’s a mouthful of wine and very concentrated -- delicious but not too muscular.
