The family’s flint-rich soils are some of the finest in the appellation; what’s produced here is the benchmark to which other producers aspire. Notes of grapefruit and passion fruit blend on the fresh, tropical sea breeze-inspired nose. The mouth bursts forth with kumquat and white fruits, candied lemons and pear syrup, and tons and tons of mineral energy. The finish is all citrus, lemon and lime rind with a good kick of pure Sancerre chalky energy. Not a wine one should do without.
