Dominique's vineyards in the Hautes-Côtes (mostly above Vosne) deliver a deeper, darker-fruited Pinot Noir with impressive cut and balance. Up in the hills the wind blows a bit harder, cooling temperatures and extending grapes’ ripening times a good two, three weeks longer than the rest of the Côte d’Or. That extra hang-time means more profound, savory flavors of blueberries and black raspberries; aromas suggest cassis and mixed peppers.

A "straight" Bourgogne in name but a Vosne beauty through and through—Dominique selects his top older vines from both Vosne-Romanée and Morey-St.-Denis for this saturated and spicy Pinot Noir. Richly ruby in the glass, the wine delivers aromas of poached cherries and black pepper. Lovely texture on the palate, with flavors of black and red fruit jelly, plus a hint of smoke and lavender on the finish.

Deep, silky and beautifully refined—"Boudots" delivers chocolate-covered cherries with a whiff of espresso and plenty of silky Pinot fruit. Medium-bodied yet wonderfully textured on the palate. A classically poised Nuits with the soul of a Vosne (as the vineyard sits on the Vosne side of the village).
