Tannins are fine and silky. Ribbons of blood orange juice and cranberry puree wind along a lengthy finish. Textbook Bourgogne.

Our selections from Raphet's modest cellars in 2006 represent, as
always, the heart of the vintage—wines that combine a profound, layered
depth with elegant, seductive flavors amid an ideal balance of fruit and
acid. The finest wines of the vintage are those from growers who
managed well the challenging weather in the late summer; with Raphet,
it's not even a question that he did all the work he needed to do to
capture superbly fresh and sweetly ripe fruit. Very enchanting; very
ageworthy; very limited.
