Bold notes of stone fruits—there’s even a hint of white peach, a sign of serious complexity and nobility in a red wine—and incense flood the aromatic nose. The mouth is stunningly fresh despite its almost bottomless concentration; plenty of blackberry notes, warm earth, chocolate and spice. Tannins are structured yet feel like satin on the tongue, while the finish lingers with notes of red fruit and baking spices. One of the best we’ve had from this estate (and we’ve been there since the beginning!) A tremendous wine, one you should not miss.
