Exquisite structure; this is a wine that’s made to last, with rich tannins and impressive complexity on both the palate and on the nose. Aromas remind of boysenberry jam and a hint of vanilla; the mouth shows an abundance of black-fruit flavors, with the added complexity of stone fruits and a hint of orange zest. The finish is long, smoky and very silky. Aged for one year in new and older barrels; plus an added 18 months in tank/bottle.
