A bit of 'super' Tuscan in a very traditional package. A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah grown on the fertile, volcanic slopes just outside of San Gimignano. Aged in new wood for 14 months; the wine's aromas come on seductively then the a powerhouse of red- and black-fruited flavors knock you cold. In a very good way. Grippy, long and very, very good.
