Just like Vesuvius to the southeast, Campi Flegrei is an active volcanic region that has over the centuries both ravaged the land with eruptions and blessed it with the resulting fertile, volcanic soils. The native white grape Falanghina pulls incredible mineral energy from these rich soils, noted by hints of smoke in its perfumes. Suggestions of lychee and sweet white fruits show on the nose; the mouth is very fresh, with limes and lemons, followed with a drizzle of acacia honey. Classic and complex.
