An extraordinary Burgundy and the steal of the vintage! These older vines grow on chalky, clay-based soils right next to leading premier cru vineyards to the north of Givry proper. Fresh, lively aromas of small red berries, forest floor and pepper spice flood the nose. Black cherries mix with plum skins and orange highlights on the juicy, richly expressive and textured (think plush) mouth. A broad wave of fruit and baking spices follows through a lively and fresh finish. A very impressive wine and doubly so for its price.
