Pure, pure fruit. This bountiful blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano takes the best of these three red grapes for a wine of pure pleasure. Stone fruits (fresh plums and a hint of blood peaches) fills the nose; the mouth is spicy and ripe, with layers of flavor, good tannins and serious juice. Peppery, lively and full-bodied--with Chianti to the east, and Bolgheri to the south, Montescudaio for our palate is "just right." A stupendous value for the quality.
