Which is why we seek out producers such as Jean-Luc Dubois, a great artisanal winemaker in the beautiful commune of Chorey-lès-Beaune. Dubois wines are the real deal—great Burgundy with plenty of silky punch and spicy finesse. 2005 Dubois Chorey-lès-Beaune “Clos Margot” V.V. Cuvée Unique

A velvet pool of purple fruit and cinnamon spice—undoubtedly one of our more complex, luscious selections from Dubois. Ginger blends with roses on the precise nose, with the classic depth and concentration we've come to expect from Dubois' wonderful old-vine fruit. Ribbons of bright cherry fruit run through, keeping each mouthful fresh and perfectly balanced. Aged 1/3 in new wood.

2005 Dubois Savigny-lès-Beaune “Les Picotins” V.V. Cuvée Unique

A stunning example of the great terroir that is Savginy. Very old vines give birth to lavender-infused Pinot fruit, with incredible spicy perfumes. A perfect marriage of wood and wine; aged 50% in new barrique, “Les Picotins” shows a density and complexity akin to a fine cru. Sweet and sexy, with cumin-dusted red fruits and plenty of chewy raspberries. Cellar for 2-3 years and watch “Les Picotins” blossom.
