2006 Pastou Sancerre “La Côte de Sury”

As always, Jean-Marc Pastou allowed us to select our favorite tanks of old-vine Sauvignon Blanc grown on the slopes of the town of Sury, just north of Sancerre proper. Firecrackers and lime zest pop on the perfumed, very pure nose; the mouth reminds of an icy margarita, with loads of limes, lemons and rock salt. Diamond-cut and absolutely refreshing, with a juicy, sweet white fruit finish. Our favorite Sancerre value!
