On the coattails of plenty of media praise here in the United States, our partners in Tuscany, Rocca di Montegrossi<\/a>, have been making serious waves in Europe, too. Just recently their 2015 Chianti Classico was named the Number 1 Chianti Classico<\/strong> in a recent tasting at Falstaff<\/a> magazine, one of Germany’s top wine magazines.<\/p>\n A bit of the review, translated from the German: “The winner of our Chianti Classico trophy is the Chianti Classico 2015 from Rocca di Montegrossi. Marco Ricasoli-Firidolfi’s winery is located in Monti in Chianti, in the southwest of Chianti Classico. What with 20 hectares is for Chianti a relatively small winery, from several years the estate has nonetheless drawn plenty of attention with its superb wines.
