One of the most historic Cr\u00e9mant houses in Burgundy, Maison Louis Picamelot is the single reference in the region for character-driven and complex Cr\u00e9mant de Bourgogne wines.<\/p>\n

This family-run winery has long focused on wines of terroir, sourcing only the finest grapes, harvested by hand, from top vineyards and focusing on single-vineyard (as well as vintage) bottlings.<\/p>\n

The winery\u2019s cellars in Rully are located nearly 500 feet underground, dug into pure rock and ideal for the slow, gradual aging of their many impressive cuvees.\u00a0<\/p>\n

FARMING & WINEMAKING<\/strong><\/p>\n

This sparkling wine house sources high-quality grapes from greater Burgundy, yet is based in the village of Rully, in the C\u00f4te Chalonnaise. Picamelot not only crafts its own, estate-sourced Cr\u00e9mant de Bourgogne but also is the house to which many of Burgundy\u2019s top growers entrust their Cr\u00e9mant de Bourgogne production.<\/p>\n

All grapes for Picamelot wines are harvested by hand. For many wines, only the \u201cheart\u201d of the press wine, or the cleanest and most expressive juice, is used to craft Cr\u00e9mant de Bourgogne. Wines are aged in the house\u2019s modern cellars, built in the early 2000s, in Rully. This climatized building, with cellars dug into solid rock some 500 feet underground, provides the perfectly cool and consistent conditions for aging Cr\u00e9mant de Bourgogne.<\/p>\n

SPARKLING WINES<\/p>\n

A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Aligot\u00e9, sourced from vineyards in the Cote Chalonnaise, Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuits.<\/p>\n
